what do you guys suggest? where can i buy a great instant cappuccino for the best price? i'm not a coffee aficionado but i do enjoy a nice quick cup now and then, especially during these "winter" times. and i know it's not the greatest way to have your coffee or cappucino, but i like the convenience.
I drink alot of instant coffee. Go to an Asian market and pick up some Maxim (Coffee, not Magazine). 20 instant packets are about 4 dollars, 100 about 15. Here is a link to some
I've got a trick that I use for quick coffee. Put a spoonful of grounds in the bottom of the cup. Heat the water to near boiling. (I usually boil it in the microwave and then let it cool for a minute.) Pour over the grounds and stir for about a minute. Then just don't drink the grounds and leave the last inch or so of coffee in the cup.
Does the rich roast flavor and aroma give you the immediate confidence you need to take charge of the day?
Agreed. I buy green beans, roast, mix and grind fresh. I've even got 2 Kona bean trees (but they won't produce for a few more years).
Wow that is serious. I thought buying my own beans and grinding was bad. Where do you get the beans like that and how/in what do you roast them? Please educate us lowly non-roasters.
Hear, Hear! It's all about the Moka: Macalu, I've had this brand on a camping trip, and it was surprisingly - to me, at least - very good. http://javette.com/about.html
Get one of those You can find them in IKEA for 13 bucks. Put ground coffee and boiling water in it and let it brew for 4 minutes, push down, and you get coffee that taste almost as good as espresso.
