I went to James coney island for my first time in my life. Expensive and nasty. Anyone know any local joints In Houston for some good dogs?
I prefer making my own.. just throw in some grilled onions and some good earl campbell sauce on top of that.
Just leave Houston now. I'm not joking. I'd give you advice, but you don't deserve it with that moronic comment.
I haven't tried this place out but I keep hearing about this place called Moon Tower Inn...a bunch of my friends are talking about it recently. Here's a yelp review of it. 4.5 stars not bad. http://www.yelp.com/biz/moon-tower-inn-houston
Those are fighting words, bud. Tread lightly. Surprisingly, Costco has a really good hot dog. Hot dog/soda for $1.99 Smashburger makes a decent hot dog, and Goode Company Taqueria has good hot dogs as well. But none of that will matter considering your tastebuds obviously have been damaged at some point
go to this address: 6234 Richmond Ave don't think twice, just walk in and you'll get your hotdog. Spoiler
same here!! everyone keeps talking about it. seems like a place foodies would enjoy. check out the menu: i can't wait to try the apple-sage dog.
I don't know about Houston. I always kind of liked James Coney Island when I was there. In LA there's a place called The Stand that has awesome dogs, and they are way better than Pinks which gets all the hype. I like mine with Bacon, Cheese and bbq sauce from the stand. We also have Wienerschnitzel which Houston used to have a long time ago. I like them, but they are just fast food hotdogs kind of like James Coney Island.
