I would do a poll but i have seen way too many for everything, it is gettin annoying. When will rockets get officially eliminated, top 5 scorers.

Who do you guys think in their prime was the best boxer, I don't care about career. You can say Marciano, Ali, and others had great careers. But in their prime who would win out of Marciano, Ali, Tyson, Frasier. I might have missed some.

Oh yea I would give it to Ali because he fought the highest class of competition. Joe Louis is up there as well as one of the best.

Way before my time, but most boxers say Sugar Ray Robinson. He was Ali's favorite, even.

Not heavyweight...I would have to say Cassius Clay/Muhammad Ali.

To get this into the 'debate and discussion' mode, I'll play devil's advocate and say it ca't be Clay/Ali because he dodged the draft.

Which makes him, by definition, a terroristic draft dodger. :)

Tyson doesn't appear to have been able to win long fights. Not to state the obvious, but the Holyfield and then Lewis stuff, where he got into a ball and basically refused to fight; just completely takes him out of the running for me. It's been talked about and filmed to death, but the Ali-Foreman, Ali-Frazier 3 battles alone are more defining than anything Tyson accomplished in 15-20 years.

That was not his prime. Everyone knew he was well past his prime for those fights. Pre Prison Tyson was in his prime.

I am not saying tyson was better for his career.

If I had to pick one boxer in his prime it would be rjj. the man was a god in the ring.
