SO I need to send some flowers out of town for a bereavement type deal. What is a website where I can send nice flowers, fast, without breaking the bank. Most flower deals out there are extremely overpriced.

do you really need a website for this? Way before the internet there was a need for this. that is what FTD Florist do. most all florist do this right? You go order what you'd like in your hometown, and tell them where they need to be. Then they call up an FTD Florist in that town and have them deliver the same type of flowers you pick out.

Well let's see, I'd like to save money if possible, in this day and age of interweb wizardry I was hoping someone on Clutchfans had a good website other than the big 2 (FTD and proflowers) where I'd be able to save a buck or two to help feed my baby. Don't see why its an egregious request. Better than typing flowers into google.

you can easily pick one up at wallmart and handdeliver it to your wife or gf.

I'm planning to put a ribbon onto my tool and have my wife open my fly for a big surprise. :)

OK, but wouldn't it just be easier to do it on the internet?

woah...didn't mean it was an egregious request. I just mean FTD is a service that many brick n mortar florists provide. Your cheapest deal could be at your local Randall's. That's all I'm saying.

if you want help, i'd recommend posting the city, a florist in that town might have the best discounts on the web, since no middle man is involved.

and if the "bereavement type deal" is a death, another option is ask the family if you can donate to a charity of the loved one in lieu of flowers.

I wouldn't use proflowers for a bereavement type event. You have to "assemble" the arrangement yourself when it is delivered. I'd stick with FTD or something like that.

Well, its the anniversery of my wife's brother's death. I always send her flowers to cheer her up for it if we aren't in the same town.

heyp- no worries...I just got a ton on my plate the next week and a half and can't even make it to the grocery store...

Ok...FTD. They charge a 16 extra bucks for delivery and everything for a 30 dollar basket. Not trying to be cheapskate, but we don't really have the money right now to shell out close to 50 bucks for a flower basket.
