Yes, it's that time again, people. While I know a lot of people enjoy taquito's and pancakes at these establishments, the purpose of this thread was to define what, in most people's opinions, was the best breakfast sandwhich out there. If the poll ever allows 50 choices, I'll allow it all. Rules: Just because one sandwhich is bigger doesn't mean better. So if you choose a sandwhich due to its size, think about taste, and pretend you were ordering two of one of the others. I'm a sausage man, myself, but there are those that prefer canadian bacon, regular bacon, or simply egg and cheese. Imaging your favorite ingredients are on the board when you vote your sandwich. If you feel the need to annoy, you can elaborate below. Good luck: This is Iron Clutch-City Chef! Your Ingredient? Breakfast Sandwiches! Begin!
Well, heh, I do live in Montrose. (Damnit! I do not want to be the next DeanBCurtis on this site! Noooo!)
It's a tossup between the BK Croissandwich and the JITB Sourdough Breakfast Sandwich. And the Mcdonalds Bacon Egg and Cheese Biscuit is good too. I'd probably go with the JITB Sourdough Breakfast Sandwich with bacon added. It's pretty badass.
Well, that choice is up there. As for me, I'll stick to the good ol' egg mcmuffin. A little nostalgiac, plus it is still the only sandwhich I know of that serves the eggs on their sandwich fried (or some amalgam thereof), rather than scrambled. I wish other fast food places would get a clue that we don't all like scrambled freakin' eggs! (unless you want an abortion, but that's an entirely different forum.)
Well, somebody already beat me to it, but that was pretty funny. I don't wake up in time to enjoy breakfast from establishments that stop serving breakfast at 1030 AM. I like the breakfast crossaint thingie from JITB. I buy it for lunch or late afternoon snacks sometime. I don't like hashbrowns, but I eat it. I like the chick-fil-a breakfast chicken biscuit sandwhich thingies. The only time i ate it was one year to this date at MD Anderson, where the prices seemed a bit jacked up. but it was pretty good.
Bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit for me too with 2 hash browns. No breakfast sandwhich is complete without the hashbrowns. And none of those weak tots.
Hopefully, JITB will start a trend. How can you say we don't order it until you ask for it, and then not get served breakfast when you want? The only prob I have with JITB is that they will use the same griddle that the burgers go on, so you definitely get that burger taste on your JITB breakfast sandwich. It is a novel idea whose time has come. I say that from now on, Fast-food restaurants save one minor burger-free griddle open to serve breakfast only on. During the late night hours, swipe one of the bigger ones that you've always done. Speaking of which: we've been thinking about opening a unique fast-food chain in midtown. ie. It isn't normal in Houston, but it is huge everywhere else, provided the property cost is low.) Meh. I'll start my own thread about this.
JITB serves breakfast all day. I was talking about McDonalds. I think ChickFilA does the same thing. I think Water Burger serves from 11pm to 11am. Hook us up with some food at this fine establishment you will be opening.
Dude... Who do you think you're talking to? JITB has been serving breakfast 24 hours a day for 5 years now. I'd shock people when I ordered it. They just started advertising that fact. Two Pesos started it. Taco Cabana carried it on for a few years before they became awful and took every single one of Two Peso's ideas and threw them down the toilet. (Where are you Two Peso Guys!!! You did everything 10 times better!!! Pink Tacos??? Is that supposed to be funny???) Tantamount to Chipotle being bought out by McDonald's. Or why EVERY Ninfa's restaurant is never regarded as good, but the original is in the top 5 every year in Houston: The leader in Tex-Mex.) I was stating that other places should follow suit, and dedicate a small griddle during the day so that the breakfast sandwich doesn't taste like a burger. Good lord. Amateurs...
Sausage egg and cheese McGriddle Though the Chick-fll-a chicken on a bagel sandwich is awesome as well.
