I'm currently doing P90x. I'm able to work out my chest, shoulders, arms, legs, etc. But when it comes to doing Ab Ripper X, I'm horrible at it. I feel the muscles under the belly fat working, but not seeing a reduction. I'm also drinking a weight gainer shake everyday: Iso-Egg Heavy Gainer Ingredients: * 2 scoops Optimum Nutrition Whey Protein (Vanilla/Chocolate) * 2 egg whites * 1 tbls. Peanut Butter * 1 banana or apple * 8 oz. cold water * 1 cups ice Is that preventing the belly fat from going? Any suggestions?
REP. I second this. Also, eat lots of PIZZA at night. Have someone serve it to you, too. Closest example: Spoiler
Drinking a weight gainer + trying to lose fat = does not compute. If you're trying to gain muscle mass, you eat a lot and lift and don't do too much cardio. If you're trying to get trim, then you cut the calories and increase the cardio. You can't do both at the same time unless you're taking steroids. You got to work out in cycles. You do a bulk up phase for about 3 months that puts on muscle and fat, then you do a trim down cycle in order to burn off the fat.
CLA tonalin (it is specifically made to reduce body fat) (might can add this) http://www.vitaminshoppe.com/search...&q=CLA&intsource2=main&tab_selection=vitamins
yeah weight gainer is NOT helping your case, haha. lift weights, then do a 30 min cardio 4x a week. eat clean (relative to you) and limit the intake
This. You can't pick and choose where to lose fat. Doing ab exercises is going to give you muscle, but it'll still be covered by a layer of fat. If you want to get rid of belly fat, just keep doing cardio until it goes away. And if you're like me, belly fat is going to be the last to disappear.
sammy knows what he's talking about. ab exercises will build your muscle, but you need cardio to get rid of the fat so that you can see that muscle.
There is no way to reduce belly fat. Only God has that power. Your best bet is submission and just learn to live with it. I've had my big 6-in-1 pack for a while now and it hasn't reduced one inch. Actually it all depends if I eat or not that day.

Everyone has a 6-pack. Unfortunately there's a huge variation in the amount of fat from person to person which covers it. Like sammy said, cardio/diet is the only way. I suggest HIIT if you're in adequate shape. Sprints on a track, stairs, swimming, speed rope, bicycling, etc.
Huh? I've seen someone that had great results cutting belly fat with p90x. If you're eating right and following the plan I don't see how you wouldn't get rid of the gut.
Working out muscles does not obliterate the fat on top of them. Your answer- better diet and more cardio. Or liposuction.
