I was watching Chris Fowler commenting on the World Cup Live show they now have and was thinking, is he the best ESPN has? I know we have had a thread for the Worst BSPN announcers but I honestly don't remember seeing one for the best. There really aren't too many to count, I guess here's my short list: Jon Gruden Ron Jaworski (sp?) Mike Tirico Jeff Van Gundy Hubie Brown Marcellus Wiley I don't watch too much Baseball Tonight but I think John Kruk would be one... ??? Is that it?

To the OP. I was thinking the exact same thing about Chris Fowler. I'm not a big college football fan so I haven't watched him much but i've been impressed. I've also been impressed with Tirico as well. The less said about the American soccer guys-Lalas and Harkes the better.
Was Hubie Brown the same guy that called announced that Derek Fisher was filled with toughness right after he elbowed Scola in the face?
