Sorry. My bank account is frozen, so y'all get me...

Let's be honest. Duran Duran is one of the few bands that both men and women appreciate.

Still love 'em. Deal with it.

It was a tossup for me between A View To a Kill, Ordinary World, Come Undone, and The Reflex.

I went with A View To a Kill. I still to this day have no idea what the lyrics mean, but it's a badass tune and my 3rd favorite Bond song(after Goldfinger and You Only Live Twice).

Ironically, the names of my fantasy basketball teams (not counting the ClutchFans league) have been the titles of Duran Duran songs going back to 2000.

My first team was called "Ordinary World", and as joke, the following year my team was "Hungry Like The Wolf".

This year, for what it's worth, the team is "Girls on Film".

Oh, and I voted for Ordinary World.

    :D

Never was a Duran Duran fan, I cannot understand why they are thought to be cool amongst people. To me the influential British bands of the 80's/90's were New Order, Depeche Mode, and The Cure. Duran Duran's music pales in comparison to those big 3's music.

View To a Kill is nice to listen to and fits the Bond image, Ordinary World is cool, but I kinda snicker when I hear My name is Rio, Hungry Like the Wolf, The Reflex...LAME

This vid between Shirley Manson, who is the rock goddess of Garbage, and Craig Kilborn, the smarmy yuppie former host of THe Late Late Show, sorta shows the typical Duran Duran fans and the ones that don't care for them (#4 of the 5 questions he asks at the end)

View to a Kill (side B) of the single was actually better than the regular song.

Hungry Like a Wolf was always one I enjoyed listening to, mainly because when I was a teenager, listening to that woman moan (in ecstasy?) was cool.

But come on - boys in big hair and lip gloss? So not cool.

But then they became... POWER STATION !!!

So they could prove to the world that they were actual MUSICIANS! And could PLAY INSTRUMENTS.

Unfortunately, they only learned to play one note on their guitar, and thus was born their version of 'Bang a Gong'.

A lot of '80s music was (and still is) cool and fun and light-hearted, but Duran Duran is not among them - now their stuff is just lame.

Ordinary World for sure. And now it's stuck in my head. (not that it's a bad thing)

    Tough call.

I'd say Rio is their best overall, but the uncut Girls On Film, and The Chauffeur are close runners-up (both of which have NSFW vids).
