Who do you guys think are the best defenders? Who can shut down their man the best and force them into tough situations?

Who is the best at guarding the elite 1's of the league such as CP3 and DWill?
Who is the best at guarding shooters such as Rip and Kevin Martin?
Who is the best at guarding wings such as Kobe and LeBron?
Who is the best at defending post players such as Duncan and Yao?

I would like to see y'all's opinions.

Rajon rondo for the 1 position. He gets a lot of steals + he can lock his man down.

Can we list any of the elites as answers? If so here's my response,

Deron Williams is a good PG defender. Rondo seems to gamble for steals a bit too much for my taste.
Thabo Sefolosha guards shooters pretty well.
Kobe Bryant is also pretty good at guarding wings.
Kendrick Perkins is the best post defender.

scola is a flopper, so what?

you obviously either haven't seen varajao or are objective of him because you just dont like him but if you take your hate blinders of you would come t realize that he is one of the premiere defensive specialist in the league...and I don't even like varajao.

he's 2nd on the cavs behind lebron in blocked shots and leads his team in total rebounds and is 2nd in defensive win shares behind lebron.

Varejao is also 2nd in the league in the +/- stat, behind Lebron, and ahead Howard and Kobe.

    I'll pick two per spot.

    Point - Rondo and Lowry
    2/3 - Afflalo and Battier
    4 - Wagon and Varejao
    5 - Perkins and Przbilla
