My friends and I were just talking about pizza, and we'll be damned, but other than Barry's on Richmond, we couldn't come up with any other places that even serve an authentic Chicago deep dish pizza. So I'm seeing what y'all think. Preferably close to Midtown. For those who are unaware, a True deep dish is served backwards, with the cheese on the bottom, with the ingredients and sauce placed above the cheese, like so: Any thoughts?
I don't know much about pizza.. but that looks delicious! Have you tried New York Pizzaria?? they're everywhere I'm more of a Buffalo Wings person than Pizza though.. mm MMM Wings!!
I know. I only eat Gatti's. Tottally irrelvant, but i don't eat deep dish pizza anyway. I should try that. Looks good
I hate deep dish.... I'm more of a thin crust or New York style pizza lover. I like to fold my slices.
some real good NY pizza? goodfellas. there's one in brooklyn and one on staten island.... and now one across the street from my house up here in dallas http://www.goodfellas.com/menu_01.html see page 2, look at that quattro contone!!!
Pizza Papalis in downtown Detroit, yes, it's worth risking your life for to go there. Rodrick_98, you live in Carrollton, too?
yeah im in carrollton.... the restraunt capital of the world between addison, carrollton, and lewisville.
mmmmm I miss Lou Malnati's and Gino's East in Chicago... Texas pizza sucks. All of it. Including Mangia's in Austin.
You do realize that Chicago Deep dish was started by a Texan, right? Oh... I guess you didn't. http://members.cox.net/jjschnebel/ddishpiz.html
Star Pizza does deep dish. Their red sauce gives me guaranteed wake-up-middle-of-the-night-heartburn though, so I don't eat there anymore.
You're not lying at all about all of these restaurants. Belt Line in Addison reminds me of the Galleria area though for some reason, except for the actual Galleria Mall. Wow, a real life clutchfan in the area, actually really close. I'm off of Old Denton Rd. and Hebron Rd.
