Chocolate Chip Cookies...my biggest weakness (but they have to be soft)

The deli in my building has amazing CC cookies, baked daily.

A perfect thread for me! :)

I like chocolate chip cookies from Mrs. Fields.

I just saw this recipe for somewhat healthy chocolate chip cookies.

    I'll be making them!!

mix 1 1/4 cup whole wheat flour, 2/3 cup splenda sugar, 3/4 tsp baking soda,
1/4 cup applesauce, 1 tbsp honey, 1 tsp sugar free vanilla, 1/3 cup chocolate chips. bake at 375 degrees for 8-12 minutes. makes 20.

Not in Houston, but Tiff's Treats in Austin (and now in Dallas, too).

Not cool guy, don't you know most people here are dieting for their New Years resolution? But since you asked they can be found at any local grocery store near you.

I hate it when you see one at Subway (they are actually pretty good there) and it looks soft so you buy it and it turns out to be hard as a rock*. Happened to me today.

I actually really like the ones at the Kroger deli by my house. CC cookies are a big weakness for me. I never outgrew loving me some milk and cookies.

*please no "that's what she said", it's really played out...

Wholefoods has a flourless chocolate-walnut cookie that is crazy good.. Come to think of it, I don't know if I've ever had a better cookie..

I just do not get it. Why do people make low fat chocolate chip cookies.

CC cookies are perhaps the most rich and hardcore of all cookies. If you want a lighter, less fatty cookie make a different type of cookie, don't rape the CC cookie of what it is supposed to be.

Awww, that's not fair. Especially because 99 percent of the time it's used in a not funny way. That one was ripe for the picking.

Can anyone comment on why the Subway or Sam's Club CC cookies always tast kinda weird? Almost like a chemical taste. The pepperidge farms seem to have this also. It is because they are ready made dough or something? Preservatives?

The best used to be Neil's (or was it Neal's) Ice Cream. They had the best CC cookies I have ever tasted. There used to be one on the ground floor in the galleria and another store somewhere else (I was young so I don't know where)

    Anyone ever eat those?
