nope, i'm making a simple choice. back in the day when I first got NBA league pass, you get a chance to listen to other teams and their commentators. Man, Worrell/Murphy were like Montana to Rice. It was the best combo period.
Not fair. Calvin had years to perfect his game. This is like asking who was better, 1995 Hakeem or 2003 Yao Ming!
Only for his awful, awful Deke impression. Or for his use of the term "NOTHING BUT NET" on bank shots. Clyde makes me laugh when I watch games.
He took a job in Chicago. Jeff was a great guy and the obvious next in line to take over play-by-play when Gene Petersen retired, but he just got a better offer. He's not a color commentator. He's a play-by-play guy, which should be noted in these choices. Clyde vs. Calvin is an appropriate comparison as is Cynthia vs. Lisa. We shouldn't be comparing, for example, Cooper vs. Clyde. They did two completely different things. Bill and Calvin had great chemistry. I think Bill and Bullard have a very similar chemistry. I'm not sure why Clyde is still doing games. Bull should be full time by now. At the very least, Clyde should just join Bill and Bull (hey, there's a catchy name!) for home games. Nothing wrong with 2 commentators.
