Im starting to do some shopping for a new vehicle. Recently I was looking at the Jetta, but after all the bad reviews in that thread I decided I should look at other vehicles.

So Im looking for something that is a 2003 or newer. Pref. less than 35,000 miles. Reliable. Good gas mileage. Something that doesnt look like a mom car (Camry, Taurus) and nothing too funky like Scion.

    Any suggestions?

can you get a mini for that price?

I've yet to meet someone who didn't like theirs.

(and Imadrummer2K may have a car for sale).

I looked at Mini's and like them alot. My problem with them is that most are 5 speeds (great in small towns - horrible in Houston traffic) and they are pretty small. Ive got to be able to put my bass guitar and amp pretty easily in the back.

Civic's seem pretty economical - not crazy abou the style, but better looking than a Corolla or Sentra.

I really like the body on the new 2007 coupe's but they top out around $20,000.

Manny - what happened to your myspace page?

How about a used Mazda6 or Mazda 3. They look pretty good. Actually you can get a new Mazda3 for about 17k.

    I got a 2004 Mazda3 for about 12500 with around 17000 miles.

Best decision I've made in years.

Those little fu#kers are hard to find. I think the demand is high too which drives up the price.

I found a 2005 with 9,000 miles on it for $15,500. Is that a good deal? I just dont know anymore.

^^ Those Mazdaspeed Protege's are nice. I'd get one over a Mazda3 if the price was right. I have a Sentra Se-r right now, I'll probably keep it for a while. It's nice not having a car payment.
