Doesn't matter how well they scored down low...how well could these guys knock down the midrange without 3pt range ability. Here's mine...

    All-Time:

    Bernard King

    Still Active:

    Karl Malone

Although he had it, he didn't shoot it a lot, Mullin. Dominique should be there also.

I don't have the exact stats in front of me, but if I remember correctly, Alex English shot about 60% on shots out to 15', and from 15'1" on he shot about 10%. There was almost a tangible wall that he couldn't shoot beyond.

Former Rockets Purvis Short and Eddie Johnson come to mind, as well.

Rik Smits maybe? I recall him having a pretty reliable stroke.

You were kidding about Iverson right?

Kobe Bryant has an awesome midrange game, but his 'athletic' jumper doesn't translate very well beyond the arc...although it's certainly something he's going to work on in the summer.

My vote goes to Jeff Malone of Philadilphia. (Remember him).
Also Walter Davis "the greyhound" of Phoenix and Alex English of the Nuggets.

Present: Sam Cassell comes to mind.

I will ditto that statement, the guy had a great midrange game, infact thats all he had. I remeber he was traded from the Jazz because he could not shoot the three well enough. but his midrange game was great

present, I would say rip hamiton he has a great midrange game
