Thanks for the info. I'm actually going to there tomorrow to buy an MP3 player and you just saved me about $18. MY MAN!!!!
Thanks but jesus christ, look at all that they exclude. lol. fatwallet.com has alot of good people sharing coupons/savings. those guys go to extreme legnths man. u should see what they did once...i was reading their masterplan to hustle bestbuy. this is what i can recall: if u spend 2,000 at bestbuy, u get 800 savings so, add 2000 worth of stuff in the cart. (it had to be a combination of items. PS3; HD TV; some tv reciever thing...installation etc.) then u check out and pay 1200. after that, keep ur hd tv and return everything else and BAM! u save 1,000? those guys...they're the smartest shoppers alive...i guess?
Ya its pretty crazy. I remember looking on their for deals and people were like ya great deal, buy an HDTV at Sears, apply for their credit card, use this coupon, signup for satellite, then cancel the satellite, and you get profit. Seemed like they had some profit gaining deal every week. LOL I basically just repeated what you posted but its just that crazy. Someone there once posted a Black Friday matrix in excel, had to have taken days to put together.
Its really hard to find any good deals at Best Buy on a normal basis. I just go there as a place of last resort if I am looking for some electronic item when I'm in a hurry. A former employee of Best Buy told me they sell their tv's at cost, but make money on selling the warranties.
thnx...I don't really need anything, but I'm sure I'll support the economy and buy something useless...
Their prices are the same or a little bit higher for the same TVs everywhere else. I can't imagine them being at cost unless EVERYBODy sells at cost. I DO know that Best Buy actually will deal on prices for big ticket items. Maybe they WILL sell at cost if you buy a warranty or something, if you work out a deal.
I used to be a bestbuy employee back in 2001. It's called "in-boarding" and yeah, I've done it probably a million times on tvs and computers. Gotta find a desperate enough dept. manager who needs the margin in service to pull it off though. Our manager PUSHED us so hard, even if we weren't on commission, he'd make us get sales and then give us free stuff like dvds, games, etc. Another way of really getting down if not below cost, is to buy open items. I sold a digi cam "open item" (returned only cause customer got the wrong format, never used) to my friend + service plan. saved him 50% off. Thats a deal.
DARN IT. I just bought a laptop and I could have used the 10% discount. For those of you former WorstBuy employees... do ya'll think I can still use the discount (or a Birthday discount I received later) AFTER I made my purchase towards the laptop price?
