OK to still drink it if it has been in the fridge (unopened, of course), and is a couple of months over?
I had a neighbor once who found an unopened Budweiser from at the very latest the 1980s, with the pop top that peeled off, in an outdoor closet in the duplex we lived in. He worked for Budweiser, loved to drink Budweiser, so decided to drink this old-ass beer. He took a huge gulp and instantly projectile vomited. I took a whiff and it smelled like pure vinegar.
I’ve drank beer that I found sitting in the back of the fridge that was probably a few years old and it was Ok. As @Buck Turgidson link notes that beer stores in a cold dark place can last for quite awhile and higher alcohol content beers last longer. Beer styles like IPAs and Porters were developed to be shipped to India and other parts of the British empire so the higher hops and alcohol allowed them to las during the long sea voyages. They can certainly last for a long time in a modern refrigerator or even in a cool basement.
