I was looking at buying some beer for a party I am having this weekend. The problem is this: What beer do I buy that will please everyone? I was thinking of buying a keg, but its too expensive and kind of a hassle. Now my thoughts are to buy 5 cases of various types. Suggestions? If you live in Austin, and would like to attend Drewfest 2, email me at: akmiller50@hotmail.com
Well if it was my party I would try to introduce my beer drinking friends to beers that I like... I would buy various beers like: Bavaria Warsteiner Dark Becks Dark St. Arnolds various Mexican beers various German beers good luck
Why does everyone think they have to have a b**** session over why "their" light beer is better? Bud Light + Coors Light + Miller Lite = Light Beer that tastes the same......
The best beer for a party? Cold beer, unless you're in England. Seriously, go for Shiner. Everyone in Austin likes Shiner, right?
Me paying for it for everyone else to drink = schaffer or old milwaukee ..... Otherwise Shiner bock or Michelob honey lager.
You've gotta go with "Beast" (Milwaukee's Best). The beloved beer of choice for fraternities around the world.
What b****ing session? Seriously, if you are paying, then go for the High Life, the champagne of beers!!!!
DrewFest 2 ....eh....what's the occassion? Just another excuse to drink beer, be obnoxious, hit on unsuspecting women, and throw up? Why not go with some of that Austin-made brew....forget the name of it? Celis....I believe. Mix it up...go with some light and some dark. Not everyone likes the dark stuff. Oh hell...what do I know...I rarely drink anymore. Surf
Shiner would be a safe bet -- everyone likes Shiner Bock. St. Arnolds is good too -- get some regular and some Lawnmower. Miller High Life rocks! It truly is the Champagne of beers! *Or* buy a variety -- buy some Miller Lite, some Bud Light, Shiner, Corona and Heineken
Buy 3 cases of Bud Light, 2 cases of Miller Lite and 1 case of Coors Light. That's a decent distribution of what people will drink. I'm assuming that you are atleast on somekind of budget. If you can afford it, throw in a case of Shiner. That will probably go pretty fast though. If you're not that worried about money, go half Bud Light, and half Shiner. You can't really go wrong with that. All light beers DO NOT taste the same. Good luck.
Drew, If you're having a party, the only way to go is with a keg. Usually we go with either Keystone Light or Icehouse. Icehouse has 7% alcohol, so everyone gets messed up quicker. Keystone goes down like water. If you're into dark beer, then Ziegen Bock is usually pretty cheap here in Austin. Call the Party Barn on Guadalupe for the best deals.
hell yah...ahhh a six pack of icehouse does red just fine...mmm college was fun... drewdog, can we expect to see cattino, steve, cato and willis at the party...?
