In all seriousness, I just purchased this and it is being shipped to me along with a WORKING Commodore 64. This game was ahead of its time...............
I've still got it, along with my C64. It's in the loft now though. I get my occasional fix for 8-bit gaming via emulators these days.
Wow, I played the **** out of that game. Can't you break the backboard? They make emulators for pc's you know. But that would be cool to have a C64 again. I do have sweet Atari 2600 plus games galore
I think thats in the Bird v. Jordan (had the slam dunk contest and 3 pt shootout) I got that One on One game and a guaranteed to work CM64 for $40. I was having weird dreams about my old CM64, from my childhood and theorized to my wife that the only way for me to overcome that, would be to get another one and play games on it.
Next time you play, use Pete Chilcutt (I think he was on the Kings on that game). Pete DOMINATED that game. My friend was always GS/Tim Hardaway and I was the Kings/Pete Chilcutt. He usually won, but barely. I would cross the halfcourt line with Chilcutt and start raining 3s the whole game. I could usually get 70-80 pts out of him (don't remember if that was good for a single player or not).
Which one was the game that you could actually punch the guy with the ball? It was 2-on-2, that's all I remember.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH GBA Championship Basketball!!!!!!! After each game, there was a newspaper headline and a neat boxscore to look at. This game was also ahead of its time.
You can buy those new at Target. My 2 year old son got the Green Football game the other day. Yeah right it was for him.
Mine's still back in my folks' garage. In the words of the janitor after you break the backboard: "dudadadada daduda duda" This one was the bomb too, it had those two sweet dunks, and it had pseudo NBA players, like "Larry Berg" and "Kareem Ugrin"
