My kids have a few and seem to like Slugfest 2004 the best. They make it for PS2 and GC but I'm not sure about x-box.

I've heard great things about All Star 2004; even played a little and was not disappointed. It takes a little time to get used to, and after that, it's really fun, especially against someone who talks smack and then you belt a grand slam on them. :)

Best baseball game: Game 6 of the 1986 NLCS, Astros and Mets. I watched all agonizing 16 innings of that game. To this day I still cringe at the outcome. The one thing I remember more than anything is the image of Bob Knepper standing at the dugout railing, unmoving an inch from the bottom of the ninth till the end of the game.

Have you ever read the book that was written about that game?

I tried, but honestly, it brought back too many bad memories. In 1986, I had no kids and would not be married until after the baseball season. I lived and breathed Astros baseball. I don't think I missed more than 10 games that whole season. Today the many distractions of family life has tempered my fanaticism, but back then, the Astros were kings. That series broke my heart.

I didn't become a real strong Stros fan till 87 so I missed out on the heartbreak of that game. Several years later, I picked up the book and thoroughly enjoyed it. Made me feel like I was actually there.

My fav baseball game had to be the 20 inning marathon (or was it 22) that the Stros and Dodges played at the Dome back in the late 80s. Hell of a game. Game ended with Fernando Valenzuela playing 1st page and their utility player on the mound. The next day, the game went 13 and I believe Mike Scott won the game with a sacrafice fly.

22 innings, with 15 the next day.

Game 1 of the NLCS, Mike Scott on the mound. Glenn Davis goes deep in the second inning, and Scott goes the distance for a 1-0 win. I watched that game with a group of friends at The Jalapeno Tree on Nasa Rd 1. We got so rowdy afterwards they kicked us out. Best time I've ever had watching a game.

if i remember correctly....game 3 or 4 in NY....Nolan had a no hitter going until Strawberry broke it up in the 7th maybe????

anyway, we lost that heartbreaker too....then of course Game 6...I hate Dave Smith

forgive me if I'm wrong about Nolan's no-no....but I'm almost positive
