Hey friends... need some help. Tomorrow is my birthday, and thus one of the few days of the year that I can go to any restaurant I want, without the wife's input and regardless of price. What I'd really like to eat, is some whole crab. As a highschooler, I used to love the barbecued dungeness crab at Joe's Crabshack, but I haven't been to Joe's since probably about 2001. In those 9 years, every time I mention Joe's to people I trust, I get the groan and eye roll. Not just because it's a Fertita operation, but because many have had terrible experiences there. I also know when you don't charge market price for your shellfish it means you're stockpiling a ton of it on ice... not cool. So, I need your help. What's the best place to eat crab (preferrably barbecued) in Houston. I live in the Woodlands, but work in the greenway area, so nearly the whole city is in play here... thanks in advance all!
Dang, didn't read your post and just assumed the thread title was a euphemism for something else. Sorry Eric.
Ha ha... I tried to phrase my thread title very specifically to make sure I didn't get responses about VD, although I expected a few anyway! God I love this board.
This. Last time, they made a mistake on our order, so we ended up with two extra pounds of snow crab. Frikken awesome.
Make sure to get the whole she-bang for seasoning...lemon pepper + garlic butter + cajun seasoning = heaven
