Yeah, I know, I did this same thread several years ago, but that was before youtube.

That said, if someone can come up with a better 80's set of shows, I'll buy you and your girlfriend a steak dinner.

    Regardless, I rule you!

The 80's show with the best theme song was Square Pegs. I didn't see an option for it.

The only ones I know are "Saved by the Bell", "Cheers", and 'Growing Pains". I only know the lyrics to SBTB. I don't like any of them. There should be an "Other" option. This poll sucks! ;)

Damn y'all! I did forget some classics. Including screaming toupee car rider: (when we were teenagers, we used to jump on people's cars as they were leaving, just to do this.) Of course, we also used to set up the cops in Bellaire a lot, also. Damn, I wish I was 16 again with a clean record...

    BINGO!
Theme song by The Waitresses. Unfortunately, all versions I can find on YouTube have the theme song removed (copyright). Here's the episode with DEVO (the greatest band the USA ever produced) in three parts:

Gotta go with Knight Rider, with Growing Pains being a very close 2nd.

On that note, you gotta love the special effects used on the Silver Spoons intro.

    Aww, come on moes,

    Show me that smile again
Don't waste another minute on your crying
We know we're near the end
The best is ready to begin...

God, the 80's had the most hideous theme songs in history.

The 70's had SWAT, Chico and the Man, Baretta, Welcome Back Kotter, WKRP and on and on. Hell, even the Love Boat was better than some of the 80's ugliness.

A few more to add to the list of disturbing themes:

    Fall Guy
    Greatest American Hero
    LA Law

Anyone ever listened to the Charles in Charge lyrics:

It's sung from the perspective of one of the girls.

    New boy in the neighborhood
Lives downstairs and it is understood.
He’s there just to take good care of me...

I want Charles in charge of me.

    ewwww...

I thought about the fall guy as well as Dukes of Hazard, but they almost seemed 70's to me, and I figured I'd shove some late 80's stuff in there.

Of course, my ringtone is "Rockford Files", so I'm not exactly working with a full deck, either...
