at this point, if they took so long to bring charges against him...you have to figure that they have concrete proof. What does this do to the likelyhood of Eddie EVER coming back? I think it is fair to say he has played his last game as a Rocket. Sad, sad day.. Later Eggie, it's been real.
rockets 2K its not real at all. i had such high hopes for this guy and he threw it all away. I cant even begin to think how good of a defensive player he could have become. And how it would have been so nice to see him play along side Yao. With Francis behind them taking those open shots...
i was kinda ticked off when rox didnt sign him to an extention even though i dont like Eddie much BUT now im glad we didnt! To bad for him though im hope everythnig turns out okay..
I guess I should have finished the expression... "It's been real ,and it's been fun, but it aint been real fun." That is what saddens me the most, I still believe that with his skills and the right coaching...he could have been a contenda... JV, I hope you are right...but the amount of time that has expired between when the incident occured and when they pressed cgarges tells me that they waited to get solid proof before charging. It is going to be tuff to beat that. but then again, Im just speculating at this point about the amount of proof.
I'm with JuanValdez...this guy is a professional athlete, and this is his first offense. I bet he walks with probabation.
Just icing on the cake really because Eddie had already hit bottom and the Rockets were not gonna resign him anyways. He truly is the biggest bust for the Rockets (considering what we gave up for him). I don't think Eddie is a bad guy at all, just misguided. Here's hoping that Eddie gets a chance to change his life outside of jail.
first offense, maybe for now...with his drug case still pending. This guy has been a zero for a year and a half now. Too bad, so sad. Let's move on.
If the professional help that he is getting works, he will play this season. Kobe is probably in more trouble than EG and he is playing. The key is the help he is getting and the progress he makes from it. If it is all positive then he will be back soon. Who knows when that case will be called. It could be after the season. I am keeping an open mind for the time being.
