I was watching the lakers Portland game where it said that the lakers bench is 27th in ppg in the league? Who's number one? I'm guessing it's the magic since they have the deepest bench in the league. I just didn't realize the lakers bench sucked so much
Outside of Odom, if your bench consists of DJ Mbenga, Vujabitch, Brown, Walton, Morrison and some other scrubs, your bench is gonna suck!
Most of the time bad teams, have bad starters, so the gap in skill level between starters and bench players isn't much(meaning more bench PPG) so those teams usually have the best bench PPG.
Spurs and Rockets are in the top 3 I think... Not sure how much the Rockets dropped since Landry was traded.
The Lakers bench is terrible. If they get in a tough first round matchup (or a matchup in any round for that matter) that can get some of their bigs in foul trouble, they could be in some real trouble. Heck, they might run into that in the first round if they end up with the Spurs. Duncan is a master of getting his defender into foul trouble. Gasol is probably savvy enough to avoid it, but Bynum is another story.
What you expect? They have a league high in total salary. They don't want to spend a lot on the bench cause of the luxury tax But I do agree with you. They're bench stinks and I think they made a huge mistake when they sold they're 30th in last year's draft for 3 mill. Yeah that's a lot of money but they missed out on Blair, Sam Young, Marcus Thornton, C Bud that could of help them on the bench and in the future. Not that I care. I'm just pointing fact.
wat about our bench ?? I think we have pretty good bench, we have Budinger, lowry, Hill, jeffries, Taylor, Battier, and Anderson. with the addition of some draft picks next year we can be one of the best benches.
