As many of you guys know, we are involved in trade talks with the Magic. If you watched a Orlando game this year you might have seen Ben Wallace. He is no all-star, but he is a very solid PF. Wow...he's pretty interesting. He seems like a poor man's Jerome Williams (isn't he a poor man's Dikembe Mutumbo?) under 5 ppg, but over 8 boards.....8 boards in 24 minutes, not bad at all (20th in the NBA) He also averaged close to 1.5 blocks per game, is good sized for a PF....not that bad. I checked- Ben Wallace is a FA. He wouldn't be that bad. I bet we could get him for the exception, and he does what we need- play solid defense. Obviously he isn't better than Kenny since he doesn't have much offense, but if we can't get someone better in the draft or a trade, I would take him over Carlos. I've seen him a few times. He plays with a lot of heart and passion, and always hustles. He's the kind of guy that we could always use. Ben is one of those players you wish you could put his heart with Cato's body and talent. ------------------
Yeah, I hear he's just a real kick a$$ energy guy in Bo Outlaw's vein. Just look at those blocks and offensive rebounds. No offense, but that doesn't stop Outlaw. I'd definitely swap him with Carlos Rogers as the energy guy off the bench. ------------------
