I wonder where and how much teams are willing to give up for him. Simmons is a flawed player for sure and shouldn’t be your best player or probably even 2nd best player, but on a team like GS where he wouldn’t really be relied on to score, he could be scary and they have the pieces to make it happen.

Philly should trade him to Brooklyn for Kyrie. That's like the perfect trade right there--the Nets gets a swiss army knife that can do everything for the team (except scoring) while KD and Harden concentrates on scoring and the Sixers gets a dynamic scorer in the backcourt that can play along side Embiid.

Both have their own question marks (Simmons and his offense; Kyrie and his availability) but it makes sense.

would need a lot more than Simmons if I’m BK, and it could be dangerous trading Kyrie if KD isn’t on board, especially before he has signed an extension

Reminds me a lot like of what we were leaking to the press that we were demanding for Oladipo in an attempt to pump up his value.

I thought about that too since it was Kyrie's plan that got both of them to Brooklyn but Durant has Harden now and having to hope that Kyrie don't randomly take games off anymore like he did this past season. Having Simmons would give them a monster defensive lineup with Claxton, Durant, Simmons, and Harden. If they bring back Jeff Green that's a huge defensive unit.

I also agree Morey would have to sweeten that deal...maybe a pick or two attached to Simmons?

Morey fcked up so badly not getting the Harden trade done

if Harden had remained healthy, Philly is likely in the finals

Harden and Embiid as your top 2 scoring options with Harris as your 3rd is pretty damn good

now BK is a powerhouse when healthy, and Philly is a disappointment

I think KD is fine with Kyrie randomly missing games during the regular season since the regular season isn’t that important…just seems like a huge risk, especially with someone like KD…KD and Kyrie are basically bffs at this point

haven’t put this in the trade machine to see if it’s valid or what else BK would have to add to make salaries match if need be, but if I’m BK, it would probably have to be Simmons, Thybulle to be my Bruce Brown if we can’t retain him, Seth Curry, and multiple picks at least…then look to trade Joe Harris for a 3&D wing

Morey might have to look long and hard at a Herro/Dragic/Iguodala/Picks package for Simmons lol

I can see Morey doing a deal like.

    Wiseman and Oubre for Simmons.

He'd have to be willing to take back Wiggins for salaries to match.

He's not exactly the type of player you want to tie $30 million of your capspace to.

Rockets are reportedly offering #2 pick and EG for Simmons.

    Yeah right lol

While I was very high on Simmons during the whole harden trade stuff…it was reported that there was some “chest out” walking around on some of the rockets front office people because they knew Simmons wasn’t that guy pal.

I would add, "Kyrie Irving is often either injured physically or showing that he's one almond or peanut away away from being nucking futs."

I'm not saying I believe you. But there would be more moving parts than that.

(Parenthetically: Is it my imagination or is Morey's "we won't trade Such-and-So Player" similar to Elie's gesture to Joe Kleine or Michael's parting gift in Havana to Fredo......or Judas to Jesus, for that matter? The absolute kiss of death?)

I'm a bit more forthcoming in one of the other Ben Simmons threads.

Here are some of teams rumored or interested in Simmons, as of 07/13

    Raptors:
    https://www.si.com/nba/raptors/news/toronto-raptors-interested-in-philadelphia-76ers-ben-simmons

Cavs, Pacers, T-wolves, Kings and Raptors:

76ers have already turned down the Pacers.

I really think the T-Wolves, Kings, and Raptors could come with most serious offers or pieces.
