Has he made the right choice? To decline a 6 year 59 mil contract? I really think he has made a dumb move and considering so many big names in the next coming free agency. He is only a bigger version of Head who knows how to dribble properly.
Yep - dumb. His overinflated sense of self-worth is going to cost him a huge amount of money. Personally, I wouldn't want him on our team unless he comes as a bench player. He's another Mike James, only with the ability to score. Evan
Just silly to throw away a guarunteed 60 million in a job where one injury can end your career forever.
Seems so to me as well. Maybe he thinks he's worth more, but 60 million sets you for life and your kids for life unless there is a whole lot stupid in the genes.
I think if the Bulls do really bad this year, I could see the Bulls trading him for a draft pick. There would also have to be someone else in that trade as well but a package deal is likely to happen for the Bulls. They have a ton of guards on their team.

Almost as dumb as when Latrell Sprewell turned down that type of contract and ended up with jack squat in the end.
So did Spreewell & look what happined to him... He's out the job w/ out a dollor to his name lol Moral of the story is: Don't Be GREEDY!
I think he just really wants out of Chicago. Wants out of Chicago so badly he's willing to "suck it up" for another year in order to be come an unrestricted FA next summer. Let's not kid ourselves here: $6.4M is more than the MLE and more than any other team was going to offer. He had nowhere else to go. Sure, he could have tried to sign overseas but maybe he wasn't looking for such a dramatic change? Maybe he just wants a hefty chunk of change and the ability to choose his own path next summer? From a financial standpoint he's never going to get any better than the two lengthy extensions he turned down from Chicago but I really think that just speaks volumes to how badly he wants out. Remember, there was plenty of friction between the two sides.
