For the first few couple of games, Ming sucked. His confidence was low and everybody was on his case. This scenerio is true for Boki as well. From the scouting reports I heard, they were surprised that Boki got picked so low at 15th. Have faith!!!
I agree. Lets give Boki a chance. I would not match that offer that the Grizz made to Posey. It is time for Boki to shine.
The difference is, Yao only had two weeks of training camp, and he was playing regular season games. Boki's had a whole year with the team, and he was stinking it up in the summer league. The two situations aren't compareable.
Its not Yao or Ming because he is Chinese you address or speak of him as Yao Ming. If you are invited by him, then it is correct to use the given name' Ming' or his family name of 'Yao'. As we are not all followers of Chinese etiquette and only talking among ourselves 'Yao' as his family name is the most respectful. [Its the offseason]
It would be nice to have Boki be our third best player. That'd be a nice balance in Steve, Boki, and Yao. Very dynamic.
I don't see a parallel between Boki and Yao. Yao at least showed up his rookie season and put up some great numbers....Boki was AWOL with his shot and thus he was an well-paid spectator. After another bummer summer for Boki against middling summer leaguers, he is beginning to look like a major bust, last game in summer league not withstanding. NBADraft.net really got it wrong with him.
What in the h#ll has Nachbar done at this point to warrant even being mentioned in the same breath as Steve and Yao? Have you forgotten Cat? He is easily one of the top three players on the roster and will remain one as long as he's healthy. And not necessarily the third best mind you. Nachbar is nothing more than a mid 1st round pick. Half of em pan out, half don't. It seems that most people on this board expect Sarunas, Peja, Detlef, Petro, etc. stats from him simply because he has a foreign name. The foreign born success rate is increasing but it's still not a given that he'll be any more of a player than Buck Johnson was. Would people expect same results from this guy if his name was Tom Gibson?
I hope you are right because CD, after cutting Tmo, said that we are all set at 3 and 4. So he must know something, we do not know.
