What are your top 3 that you haven't already been to? 3. Wrigley Field- I want to sit in the outfield, shirtless, with a beer in each hand, on a 75 degree afternoon with no humidity while watching my Astros kick the crap out of the Cubs. 2. Notre Dame Stadium- I'd love to go to a game against Michigan or USC just to see what the atmosphere is like. It would preferably be about 20 degrees outside and you would be able to see frost coming from the players mouths on the line of scrimmage. The game would have NC implications. 1. Ratliff Stadium, Odessa, TX- Kind of a strange one I know, but there's nothing like the passion of West Texas high school football. I'd love to spend a Friday night there watching Odessa Permian vs. Midland Lee with the district bell and a playoff birth on the line.
3) Anfield, The Kop, whatever other name it goes by. Home of Liverpool FC. I remember watching last year's Champions League 2nd leg Semifinal against Chelsea and I couldn't get over how loud it was. I was like dayumn! And I was watching it on TV. I would like to see them play Manchester United or some other important match. 2) Maracana Stadium. Once hosted close 200,000 people for a World Cup match. It's the cathedral for Brasilian futbol, making it the de facto cathedral of world futbol. I would love to see either a world cup match or a flamengo vs. fluminese match. 1) Lambeau Field. I've always wanted to go there ever since I was a kid growing up in Wisconsin. It has to be in the top 5 of all time United States sports venue's. Easily.
Celtic Park - Watching Celtic vs. Rangers play each other live would be the top of my list, but I'd like to go to pretty much any game there. To a lesser extent going to Argentina to see Boca Jr's vs. River Plate in Argentina. I guess this one is more about the game than going to the actual stadium though.
We went to Wrigley last season. We sat behind the cubs bullpen mound, walked right out the left field concourse staright to our car. We will be going to South Bend in October to see Notre Dame vs. UCLA.
The ballparks I've never been to and would like to see are, in no particular order: Jacobs Field (Cleveland) PNC Park (Pittsburgh) Camden Yards (Baltimore)...seen it from the outside, not the inside I've been to Yankee Stadium, Fenway Park, Wrigley, Dodger Stadium, Oakland Coliseum, and Turner Field. Of all of them, I liked Fenway the best. Yankee Stadium has the worst concessions of any ballpark I have ever been to. Most people buy food from the outside and bring it in (it is allowed there). Other stadiums I would like to see a game in are.... Lambeau Field (Green Bay) Madison Square Garden (NYC)
Yankee Stadium Wrigley Fenway Wembley(sp?) (although I guess that would mean I was watching soccer) .
Azteca Stadium EL Monumental Coloso de Santa Ursula, El Estadio Azteca. Capacity:114,000 Noise Level: unimaginable
Lincoln Financial Field (The Vet actually but that is no longer possible) Toyota Center (I've been to several at Compaq but never been to Toyota) 3rd one is up for grabs
1. Yankee Stadium. I hate the Yankees. I hate what American League Baseball. The only reason I would be here is for an Astros game in the World Series. Astros beating Yankees in the World Series....I can't think of a possible greater Sports experience. 2. Rose Bowl with UT in a Natioanl Championship game. 3. Pro Bowl. It is played in Hawaii. I don't have any sentimental attachment to stadiums I've never been. It would have to be an event to draw me in.
I want to see the Astros beat the Yankees at Yankee Stadium. And I want to be sitting in the bleachers in an Astros jersey.
i've been to fenway and wrigley. i'd love to go back to fenway. would love to take my sons there someday. yankee stadium pac-bell/at&t stadium in SF my dad and i have talked about taking a west coast trip to see the 'stros for YEARS. i hope to do that someday.
If you're planning on going to Yankee Stadium, better make it quick, think they're going to build a new one in '07
I've never been to either of them, think me and some friends are going to hit up both of them this summer.
