How many homebrewers do we have out there? I've never brewed, but I love to drink a good homebrew... rH
I have, twice. Both were about 4 years ago. I really need to start up again but I need to get a bit more cash. I wanna buy a wort shiller which will cost about $60 I think. I also need to get a new bucket, gravometer, and a few other misc stuff since a bit has broken/been lost in two moves etc since then. But it is very fun and I recommend it to everyone who likes beer. I tell you, even if your beer isn't the best in the world there's nothing like drinking a beer and saying "I made this!"
This is something I'm going to do if/when I ever get a home and some spare space. Root beer and ginger ale/beer too. The real stuff.
SUCCESS!!! Mark's 2001 homebrew Ale was tapped last night! Call it beginner's luck (this being the first time to home brew)! But it turned out excellent! Not too much carbonation, good head, clear color, nice hearty ale taste! No bitterness, or weird aftertaste. I'm so proud!
