Wow, either of these jobs would be an incredible job to have. Too bad I live in Pittsburgh. Oh well, maybe one of you BBS crazies can apply and get one of these jobs instead? :p

LOL the Rockets are going to be really pissed off about this thread when they end up with 30,000 applications from guys still whose total work experience consists of part time summer jobs at WalMart.

As someone who works on the bottom rung for a sports team, the above attitude does not fly with my supervisor (ie if he interviewed you, you said you would work for free, and another candidate gave a salary requirement in line with the job description, the latter would be taken seriously).

I wanna be one of those guys that you see standing around the players wearing rockets headbands/shirts/sweats, but they don't do anything they just stand there and nod their head like sup. That'd be awesome.

George: I like sports. I could do something in sports.
Jerry: Uh-huh. Uh-huh. In what capacity?
George: You know, like the general manager of a baseball team or something.
Jerry: Yeah. Well, that - that could be tough to get.
George: Well, it doesn't even have to be the general manager. Maybe I could be like, an announcer. Like a colour man. You know how I always make those interesting comments during the game.
Jerry: Yeah. Yeah. You make good comments.
    George: What about that?
Jerry: Well, they tend to give those jobs to ex-ballplayers and people that are, you know, in broadcasting.
George: Well, that's really not fair.
