Anyone have any experience with finding beach vacation properties? (Or maybe does anyone actual own and rent out properties at one of these vacation spots below?) At this point, my friends and I are looking at the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, or St. Martin. The aim is to minimize airfare and accomodation costs in total, and those 3 are all decent on the airfare from DC...so that's how I narrowed it down. I'd appreciate any help/advice/housing you might have. Looking for something with at least 3 bedrooms (4 would be nice, and 5 might work too).. Price-wise, nothing ridiculous...just something in the normal range for the area. Most importantly, we want to be on (or within a 5 minute walk of) the beach! Even nicer if it's a semi-private beach. Oh, it'd be a 7-10 day stay, end of July or more likely early August. Thanks!
While I do not know about rentals in those locations, I have rented a condo in akumal each of the last 3 summers. We used loco gringo, we liked each of the places, and we could easily walk to the beach.
Thanks... sadly, the flight out there would be way too much. But those kind of tools that people have experience/success with are certainly helpful
