    Hey everyone.

I need a list of some good BBQ music (eating and cooking). My neighbors are having a big all day thing tomorrow and their DJ dropped out on them. I happen to just be the neighbor with the biggest music selection so I was recruited to help. I got alot of current country and CCR and such but I'm looking for more suggestions if you can help.

They are a Arrow, 101, Buzz, and classic country friendly group.

    thanks

Can't you just play 'freebird' and 'sweet home alabama' in a continuous loop?

Play nothing but alt-country and blues. Down home music for a down home barbecue.

    Robert Earl Keen
    Steve Earle
    Uncle Tupelo
    Lightnin' Hopkins
    Freddie King
    Albert Collins

    STEVIE RAY. ALL DAY.

I usually can't stand to listen to his music in the car or at home, but there's something about Stevie Ray and BBQ.

These country-esque bands are made for fun:

    Southern Culture on the Skids
    Reverend Horton Heat
    Junior Brown

No Texas BBQ is complete without Willie and Jerry Jeff.

Some country/blues/rock fusion: Janis, Little Feat, Jimmy Buffett, Amazing Rhythm Aces.

For a little variety, throw in some reggae to go with the zydeco Pole suggested: Jimmy Cliff, Bob Marley, Peter Tosh

What time do we eat???? :D

No single artist covers the gambit of Bar-B-Que music quite like
    Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown.

I would also recommend a big dose of Texas Swing like Asleep At The Wheel and Bob Wills.

And you have to throw in Lyle Lovett, preferably with His Large Band.
