I was talking about this game and my friend asked me what it looked like. I said the main character looks like Sarah Palin
Bought it after reading lots of good reviews, been playing through it and its pretty fun, doesn't make a lick of sense but still fun.
Yeah, it wasn't bad. The load times on the PS3 are painful though, so if you have a choice, get the Xbox version.
Ii Ign said the ps3 and 360 versions were drastically different. They gave the 360 a 9.5 and the PS3 an 8.2. There is so much stuff coming out that I think I will have to pass on this although it looks badass
Yeah, the slowdowns on the PS3 were pretty unnerving, too, along with load times. I would definitely rate it lower, too. Unfortunately, I only have a PS3, not an Xbox. I knew all of this going in, but I didn't really have a choice, nor did I think it would be as bad as it was.
Got the 360 version. Its the best game I've played this year. I actually prefer it over Mass Effect 2...which was over hyped to *****. Not saying it was bad, it just doesn't deserve all of these near perfect scores its been receiving. Bayonetta was over hyped as well, but it was when after the game came out and all of the rave review just hit people in the faces. That's a positive hype similar to when Dead Space came out of nowhere and surprise everyone. I feel bad for the PS3 owner b/c they got robbed. I blame Platinum for being lazy, b/c you never give your game to another company to do the conversion for you. I don't care how long Sega has been in the business. Getting back to Mass Effect 2. This game has potential to be great but the linearity gameplay along with the painful planet scanning ruin an otherwise great game. I felt like I was playing one long action game with a bunch of conversation rather then the action RPG its claim to be.
You know what you're getting with Mass Effect 2, however, if you played the first one. I still haven't decided if I'm happy or sad that the Mako is gone (I finished the first and bought the second yesterday, so I'm not far into it). Anyway, this thread is about Bayonetta so that's enough outta me! If you do get Bayonetta, I suggest playing it on "Normal" so you can do the combos yourself. On Very Easy / Easy, the combos are chosen and executed for you which is kind of lame.
I agree. Completely over the top with the action, the "sexy time eye candy" and the cheesy cut scenes. Pretty addicting. The game really makes you want to get to the bottom of the nonsensical plot and not leave anything behind.
Def. a fun game. However, I think you could stand to wait to play it until it fires onto the sale rack; or, just rock a rental for this one. Although really well done, I'd humbly say the replay value isn't really there. Lolz at the Palin comparison: ("I see it." -Mack from Predator)
