Wed night its Lebron vs Yao.....

the debate has been beaten to death on who would pick who if they both were in the same draft

although yao is on top of his game and Lebron is showing his complete game night in and night out,,,its going to be interesting
to see what will happen wed night

you got lebron vs our back court and yao vs the inside presense of big Z and boozer

im giving the edge to lebron this season but if yao continues at this rate for the rest of the season im giving it to him,,,,i think its way too close

I'd pick Yao any time. Good talent is hard to find, but good talent packaged with Yao's hieght is even harder

LBJ v Jimmy Jax, I would think. With MoT to battle Booz for board supremacy!

Lebron is going to be awesome.. Kobe or Tmac type for sure. Yao is a different story, if he can reach his potential he could be a dominating force.

The scary part about the Cavs is that a lot of good players will want to go to play with LeBron in the next few years because they know that one day he might have a chance to win a title.

We should prepare for this...we need some better players.

    T-Mac
    Brand
    Hinrich
    Boozer
    Terry
    Jaric

    We need help.

I mean, even if we make it to the Finals one day, we'd still (might) have to deal with LeBron. And that's going to be tough.

i sincerely hope you aren't referring to marko jaric and jason terry in trying to get 'better' players i dont see either of them being real impact players on a good team, though their stats may be decent on their respective teams right now

Gimme break. when they become old and don't have a ring, they might change their mind to look for a savior, like gp and km, but not now. kids growing up in u.s. always think they are the best. that's the reason they don't like play team ball like international players.

Look at the whole list. Not just Terry. He would just be our PG. Add someone else too.

Like a Terry/T-Mac guard line up.

Talk to me in 5 years. If you think that LeBron is not going to be a great player...heh...well, you are fooling yourself.

This is not about USA vs International. This is just about LEBRON. He's special in terms of future competition.

Lebron is going to be , at most, another T Mac.
The miracle of M Jordan is gone forever.

im sure no one would want to come down to a free agent friendly organization with a history of winning, not to mention the unselfish 7'6" heir apparent of domination milling about our woods.

the game on wednesday will be tough, it will be right after a tough game against the spurs, the cavs are 1 1/2 games behind for a playoff spot and tonight they came back from a 25 pt deficit to beat the hornets. honestly, im more excited about this game than the spurs one.

    Absolutely!

I was thinking about a lineup of...

    Terry - PG (or Hinrich)
    McGrady - SG
    Yao - C

That's a very good core group! Fill in the blanks with good role players.

that mentality that separates the super stars from the rest of the good players. Teamplay can only get you so far, your going to need that player with the killer instinct that tells him to take over and dominate. Thats why we will never see the likes of a jordon, tmac, kobe from international players.

i've never said he isn't special. he is. but there won't be another mj. trust me. i have a doubt that a lot of good players will play with him in same team. 1st, it's impossible due to financial issue, unless good players don't want money when they are young. they need to that kind money to prove their value. 2nd, a good young player will do whatever to prove he is the best. that's for sure. if they have to rely on lebron. do you know what that mean? after they are old and they have money and all kinds of achievements except a ring, they might think about joining with lebron.

you totally misunderstood what i was talking about. the question is tha t a lot of good young players come to lebron's team because of lebron. then they have a great lineup against rox. my answer is that it is impossible. i gave the reasons.

you are talking about super stars. do you see the difference?

The special players don't end up being like other players.

For example, Magic was special. So, was Jordan. Same with Tim Duncan. And Yao.
And LeBron. Those special players bring their own style and play to the game. A type of play that NO ONE HAS EVER SEEN BEFORE.

LeBron does NOT remind me of Jordan. LeBron has his own style. He's a strong 2 guard, with very good passing ablity, strong for rebounds and very good post moves.

He's just different that what I've seen before. Sure, you can see some parts of Jordan. But Kobe had more "Jordan type" moves than LeBron.

Same with Yao. Sure, you can see parts of other past players in their game. For example, I can see some Duncan/McHale/Kareem in Yao. But not exactly like them. Yao brings his own style. I've never seen such a good shooter for a 7'6" guy. Heck, anyone over 7'3". Maybe Sabonis. But still not the same.

As far as the financial issue. Sure, there will be a lot of young players that try to take the money, when they have no chance to win a title. But some will be smart when they see how good LeBron will become. Then, some will do what it takes to win a title. You'll see...once Lebron starts winning. Same with Yao. But we need other talent (not Francis).

Jordan did not get his first ring until he got to know how important the teamwork is. Maybe without Pippen, he would not have won any ring.
