Battier's Pregame Speech Game 4

I want Shane Battier to read my a bedtime story.

 

They should give that duty to Artest.

 

I thought it would have been more like this:


We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition;
And gentlemen with microfracture surgery
Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Mother's day.

 

They still have McGrady listed as team captain. How do we let the Rockets know we'd rather have Shane be team captain??

he's a very articulate guy. but not the best at motivational speaches..
artest looks up and looks disinterested.. hmm a bit boring i guess

 

Funny, I said the same thing about Artest after the "pipe through the heart" monologue.

 

I love Shane but I cringed at his speeches.

What he has in brains and leadership he makes up for with a lack of energy and enthusiasm.

 

Whenever I hear Shane's speech I keep thinking of Gilbert's speech at the end of Revenge of th Nerds where he says, "I'm a nerd, and... I'm pretty proud of it."

 

i think the media hyped up his speeches, he's never been the motivational type, his speeches have always been pretty short and to the point

 

I loved the speech. I was so pumped when I heard it.

Shane is my favorite player so there is a heavy amount of bias from my part .

 

he always looks disinterested, and disoriented, never looks at the camera, or the guy talking to him, his eyes wonder, ron crazy eyes artest

 

I'm guessing T-Mac wasn't in the huddle.

it was kind of a combo of funny and freaky

 

I love how little fire was actually in that speech...
