    It would suck if we keep him because of Peak group or some ridiculous sentimental affection.

    Trade his bench "intangibles" for a starting 4, yesterday.

    I wouldn't trade him for Camby. Between Yao, McGrady, and Camby that sounds like an annual combined 60+ missed games per season.

    Battier should not be traded. He played a key role last season and will do the same this season. The PF should be solved by trading the surplus of guards the team currently has.

    I'm one of the biggest Battier supporters on this board. What he brings is cannot be replaced (except by Anthony Parker). But some of you guys are nuts. If you can trade his intangibles for Camby, you do it and run.

    battier is just a good role player. id rather have a good role player rebounding and paint defense alongside yao.
    tmac should move back to his real position...

    If he was a true 4, I would keep him. However, we all know he can only play the 3, and that's where T-Mac seems most comfortable, not to mention that McGrady probably plays the 4 better than Battier, if he must.

    So yeah, he's 'expendable' for a solid, starting PF if we can get that for him, which I doubt we can.
