    Feeling McGrady’s pain

Tracy McGrady’s dilemma might be challenging, but it is not unique.

With McGrady still toying with the idea of “shutting it down” to let his sore left leg get stronger, Heat guard Dwyane Wade said Monday that he knows just how McGrady feels.

“Déjà vu,” said Wade, who battled back from injuries last season. “Same thinking that I was going through last year, especially with that knee, that muscle’s not strong in that quad. Some days it feels good, some days it doesn’t. And over the course of the game, in some games it’s going to feel good in the beginning, in some late in the games.

“So it’s a tough decision for a guy that sees a team that he wants to be out there playing with, a team that can possibly compete for a championship. He wants to be out there. But, at the end of the day, he’s going to have to make the best decision for the team and whatever decision he makes, hopefully is best for him, for his health.”

Wade played in 51 games last season, never seeming to be consistently at full strength until the Olympics in August.

“It’s very tough (to decide whether to play), especially you look at the season right now,” Wade said. “It’s not like they’re 12-2, when he can sit it out for a little while. They’re a couple of games, three games over .500, something like that. It’s tough. You want all your guns when a team has not jelled yet and you know that you’re a huge part of it, he’s a huge part of that offense, it’s very tough.”

    Battier set to return

After coming through a tough workout Saturday and a scrimmage Sunday without any setbacks, Rockets forward Shane Battier said he hopes to be ready to play Wednesday night against the Indiana Pacers at Toyota Center.

    Yes battier's back

I Think or at least hope that he is one of those players that can seemingly blend with the rest of the team without the entire team having to start from square one and adjust to a new player

At 32 I doubt he'll be signed for the MLE if his body keeps breaking down. Great news for Battier though, maybe we can rest T-Mac now.

Prior to the Rockets-Heat game, Wade also suggested that Yao Ming, Ron Artest, and Rafer Alston should "shut it down" for at least one game in order to prevent injuries occurring at the end of a road trip. Wade said he knows what it feels like to play a lot of minutes banged up and how that can sometimes lead to long term injuries if you don't get proper rest at the end of a road trip.

    Finally.

Although the red jacket idea was interesting, I'd rather see him in a red jersey.

Our defense and depth will much better with the return of Shane. Yes, this will be a good time to let T-Mac get healthy.

this team is going to be cooking with fire now. You have battier who can set up shoot the three, rafer looks like he is coming into swing now, shemac well dont get me started on him, and luis scola who can do everything. Then you have the modern dream yao ming i dont know about yall but the offense looks like a play out of rudy t's play book. feed the ball to yao then cut and set up three point shots. And the bench wow Chuck, landry, artest, brent, brooks now thats gonna be nice very nice.
