Battier talking about Ron Artest switching onto Battier's man. From 'Art of a Beautiful Game' via fanhouse
From the book that the OP mentioned. It's a great book. It's not for the faint of heart if you're a McGrady fan.
Lots of McGrady things coming up now-a-days. I can see where Battier is coming from although I'm shocked he would actually comment something like that.
It's in the book. It's not to criticize McGrady but rather a compliment towards Artest and how he made it easier for Battier to roam the court on defense.
Kobe's quote about McGrady pretty much sums up what everyone thinks of him. To paraphrase If you deny him [McGrady] then he'll give up.
wasn't this book read by a fan here and they posted a thread on it? I think they specifically mentioned the shane chapter, you'd think they'd mentione this, but they didnt? I think it was taken out of context...and why would battier call him "tracy mcgrady" and not tmac or tracy? either way, it's talking about tmac's help D, no individual d
Right but knowing the drama queen McGrady is he could of worded it differently. Whatever though, Shane speaks the truth!
I have read the book.. and I can assure that it's in there. Not taken out of context at all. At that point they were talking about Ron and how he always wanted to guard the other teams best player.
It was the thread I started and I left it out because IT IS A CHAPTER ABOUT BATTIER. Why would I put in something like that just to get people riled up, ESPECIALLY when it's been brought up in a manner like the OP just did here? Battier said this during last season so anyone thinks this is something new, should probably rethink it.
