http://espn.go.com/ncb/2001/20001114/recap/pardau.html This might be old news for a lot of people but I just heard and I think he could be the missing link on are team!A 6'8" SF that can play defense and hit the outside shot. The question is where will he go in the draft? Can we get him? ------------------
I am not a big fan of Battier. Admittedly, he had a great game, but everyone has their day. There are many small forwards in the college ranks that I would take before Battier. If I could pick it would have to be Terrance Morris who would fit best on the Rockets. Already a buddy of Francis, he would fit right in if the Rockets decide they are going to trade Walt or let him walk. Don't forget we still got Langhi; he will be something special. ------------------
This is my thoughts exactly. To be honest, I kinda feel the same way about Troy Murphy, but not nearly as much. ------------------ Remember.... You are not really drunk until you must hold on to the grass to keep from falling off the earth.
I dont think we will have a shot at Morris but if we did I would love it!I havent seen Murphy play but I have heard what he can do but I would like to see him play for myself. I just thought Battier would fit the team better and we actually had a chance to get him. Can Morris hit the outside shot? ------------------
Shane was picked by SI as POY, I believe. Is Chris Owens gonna guard him in the NIT ? Or maybe Evans or Mouton ? ------------------ "There are two players carrying the Rockets right now. Hakeem and Olajuwon." Isiah Thomas
Terence Morris is the guy the Rockets need no doubt. However, Shane Battier is not a bad option if the Rockets cant get their man as he really hustles well and commits to playing good solid defense along with having a solid perimeter shot. I dont think the chances of getting Morris are as unrealistic as people think either. Remember, this is the deepest draft in recent memory and the Rockets will have multiple picks in it. Also, if they all went pro, Chandler, Curry, Griffin and Wallace would all be selected before Morris, and Woods will likely be a top 3 pick as well. Not sure what Boozer will end up deciding, but he is capable of being a top 5-7 pick as well at some point. There is just so much talent out there and with the overall depth, teams may be more willing to move down this yr than they were last. ------------------ Check out the Best Source for Draft Info Draftsource.net
