Chicago Bulls forward Luol Deng was awarded the NBA Sportsmanship Award for 2006-07, the league announced Thursday.

The Sportsmanship Award honors a player who exemplifies the ideals of sportsmanship on the court, including ethical behavior, fair play and integrity. The trophy for the award is named for former Detroit Pistons guard and Hall of Famer Joe Dumars.

The NBA will donate $25,000 on behalf of Deng to Chicago's Pacific Garden Mission, which is the oldest continuously operating rescue mission in the country.

Shane Battier of Houston, Derek Fisher of Utah, Elton Brand of the Los Angeles Clippers, Joe Johnson of Atlanta and Anthony Parker of Toronto were announced as divisional winners for the award.
