Trade Accepted and we don't loose Scola

    Ming
    Scola
    Artest
    TMAC
    Alston

    Why we do it:
-we get third scorer and lock down defender
-we can still lock him up with the money he makes now plus synder and bonzi contract
-line up gives us chance to compete in the mighty west

    Why they do it:
    -they get something for Ron
-a solid contributor in citizen SHANE
-they wanted brooks all along and can now look to shop bibby (for a PF) and build around martin and brooks

You think at all about next year when Artest is a Knick or Pacer, and Battier and Brooks are Kings?

Getting Artest would be great, but not at the expense of two rotation players when there is no guarantee that he is a Rocket for more then 30 games.

Brooks & Martin should be used to build around someone else. If you are building your team around them, you are going to stink, big time.

artest is no more than a one-year guy for any team b/c he has never proven to be a stable guy.

artest is not very old. with the good core of bibby, martin, miller, garcia... yet petrie does not want to keep artest. that's a big thing.

and i don't want to trade my future PG for a guy who will play with us for at most a year. brooks is a stud. i don't want to miss out on a potential all-star guard.

I think you missed the story where Artest has said he'll opt out after the season.

The two teams u listed can't pay as much as houston. Neither are competing for a ring either. Why are u scared of giving up a run of the mill guy like Battier and we don't know what he is brooks for a chance to win a title? In their hay day before you started watching the rox I'm guess, the rox made moves to make a team great. As long as they don't give up yao and tracy, what's the problm?

U act like Battier is great or something. He has played well in any playoffs and brooks is a rookie. This about playoff hoops, not beating regular teas in the regular season. The rox need the playmaker like artest to go along with Tracy on the perimeter. If that means Battier and brooks are goners, so be it. U can find battier type guys anywhere.

Then we use Artest and Mike James to get Bibby.

I would do Battier and change, but not Brooks. Battier is way overrated by the Rockets, this board, and the TV crew. "Glue Guys" just don't light my basketball fires. He is not athletic, not a serious offensive threat, and in many cases, the "little things" he does don't really add up to that much. I don't think he is the "lock down" defensive player that most think he is. He is no Bowen.

Artest is a beast. He is a nut, but he is a beast. He took on the whole Rockets team, one on five, and stuffed them. Darn near beat them.

If anything, Battier is underrated like Chuck Hayes. He is no Bowen but he helps team win more than his stats shows.

Brooks is overrated because of his first couple games. He is fast but his decision making is very questionable. I know he's still a rookie though.

You still don't get it dude. Almost every game, no matter we win or lose, there is always some player XXX playing well. And there is always someone who will say "trade for XXX" after the game.

Solving problems? Who cares. If these guys could be the manager of team, I bet even MJ will be traded before he could win any championship.

our current roster won't win a championship... correct me if i am wrong but that is the goal right?

ARTEST gives us that chance.... Come on people open your eyes
and we can resign him once synder wells and francis come off the books

GEEEEZ i don't understand u guys sometimes brooks= unproven battier=half artest.... and we don't need a new point if we have a starting lineup of

    Ming
    Scola
    Artest
    TMAC
    Alston

Getting Artest would be great, but I think we need a pg upgrade to build around more than a one year title run. It's also a huge chemistry risk with Yao, Mac and Artest all demanding the ball.

On paper, Artest is the better player over Battier. But I really don't see TMac and Artest meshing well together. Artest is a one on one iso player.

Also, I think Artest will ask for a new contract in the 10 mill per year range. Just my gut feeling. And that maybe too much for us.

Imagine if the Pistons never got Wallace because of all the reason you guys don't want ARTEST...

    Nuff said

If Artest is that good, why couldn't the Kings find a door into playoffs?
