I'm the same way, Vengeance. I have good nights and bad. It's just an excuse to get together and hang out. If there's interest, maybe we can pick a night for a cf.net get together there. My cf.net going away party was a lot of fun, so I'm thinking along the lines of that. Maybe one night with a Rockets game on. We could requisition the upstairs gigantic TV (and two pool tables) and then after the game drown our sorrows and throw a few. Weigh in on which night's best.

Oh, and p.s. to Fatty: Yeah, they got Golden Tee, three pinballs, five dart boards downstairs and two upstairs. Also a huge beer selection, all very reasonably priced, and a full kitchen (Houston Press voted them the best burger in town a year or two back).
Regretfully, I do not plan on being in Houston over that time period. I am working on a project of SIGNIFICANT IMPORTANCE that requires me to be away. With regard to darts, I am an expert marksman.
Oh, come on Jorge. You're gone for the whole month? Show up for the drinks even if you're scared of losing at darts. You could tape up your hand and fake an injury or something. Whatever the case, I hope you'll reconsider. Falcon's: You too, you big lug. 12/17 and 18 are out for me - a play at my old theater and a wedding. 1/5 is out for me as I'm trying to cash in on my Chance tickets that night vs. Phoenix. Looking at the schedule, and leaving out league nights (Mondays and Wednesdays), that leaves precious few games we could watch together. Pretty much down to the Lakers or the Nuggets on 1/7 or 1/9. Or we could blow off the game viewing and just have a night of darts, pool, pinball, Golden Tee, beers, drinks and food. Tuesday the 21st might be good for that. Weigh in.

I'm taking a WELL DESERVED two week vacation from work starting 12/17 until the new year. I will definitely be able to make it out.

Hey pasox: So you in or out? I'm looking forward to checking out Poison Girl for the first time this visit. I haven't been back since they opened. What's the game situation there though? They got darts or anything or is it just a bunch of rockers drinking on the deck? And what exactly is the Rudz crossover? I think I heard Scott Butt and maybe the new Rudyards Scott and his wife were involved, but I can't remember how. But yeah, Rudyards. Since Catal Huyuk closed, that's my home bar. I'll be faithful as long as they stay open and as long as Lelia owns it. Anyway, all my favorite bartenders are there. And you must have meant Poison Girl re: the license. Rudz has had one forever. I do actually have my own darts, but that's just because they were a gift from the parents of an ex. I've never even used them. I usually throw the bar darts. I'm not particularly good either, but I do love to play. You coming or not? Say yes.
