Click on the picture of the metal batarang.

In the latest issue of Premiere Magazine, screenwriter David Goyer revealed the plans for the next two movies:
"The next one would have Batman enlisting the aid of Gordon and [Harvey] Dent in bringing down the Joker... but not killing him, which is a mistake they made in the first one. In the third, the Joker would go on trial, scarring Dent in the process."

Batman the way it was meant to be...dark and creepy....

Joel Schumacher needs to go on trial for attempted murder of a movie franchise

Nice trilogy outline. So many things about it that work:

-- elevating Gordon to more than bit-player status
-- not having 37 villians per movie
-- using the most iconic (and disturbingly interesting) Batman villians around in Joker and Two Face -- because, let's face it, Penguin and Mr. Freeze are pretty silly
-- no Robin or (ugh) Batgirl

The Penguin was a great villain! I liked the idea of the villian revealing all the dirty secrets of the mayor, who's supposed to be honerable

Mr. Freeze definitely was cheesy, along with that plant chick. The Riddler definitely should have had a movie by himself. That could have been a great Da Vinci Code like movie with Batman trying to solve all the riddles. Catwoman...well, she really wasn't a villain.

The Penguin's a great character when he's just a short guy like he is in the comic books.

When the movie made him into half man/half penguin (who ate raw fish), it was ridiculous.

Man, people don't remember their cartoons well. It was never Mr. Freeze.

It was the Cool Cruel Mr. Freeze.

Looks decent...nothing to be too excited about though.

Next Thursday can't come soon enough.

I think you're the only one that doesn't know this is a complete restart of the Batman film franchise :)

He's not the only one, unfortunately. I blame WB for not really doing anything to make it more obvious. They also don't seem to mind that many magazines and entertainment news shows keep calling it a prequel.
