Knee-jerking is not a thing that I am used to but a few times in last two games I really wanted to start a thread like “burn in Hell, you stupid coach” and etc but it would be disrespectful for the community. I was really mad, really angry of McHale decision-making as a most of you guys over there but then I took a breath and remembered what he was all about, what I was talking about this man almost at will from his day one there: he was awful and he is awful. We need to accept it His understanding of the game is one of the worst in this generation. He really made a lot of weird decisions all over his post-basketball career and why should he change to do so? He really thought that he could fool the league with Joe Smith’s salary and wasn’t able to realize that almost every guy in the NBA office is ten times smarter than him. They are Harvard and Yale boys. He really thought that epic Randy Foye over Brandon Roy was a sure thing, a right decision even when B-Roy have won the Rookie of The Year Award and his boy Randy was lost in Nowhereland between two positions on a backcourt. He was saying that it was right not because he didn’t want to admit his own mistake, but really because of a living in his own reality. Right now, this guy Foye is not even the best NBA player from his room in College (Say Hello to Kyle) but I do believe that McHale is still thinking that he was an all-star caliber player that was able to help KG win a ring. Actually, he helped him because Kevin forced a trade and won it, but not in a Wolves uniform. And there were a lot of decisions like that in his years in Minnesota. So why should I be surprised of his decisions as a coach? Why should I shout on him because he played with two wings, two guards and non-athletic Scola at Center position against Twin Towers at time when we needed some stops to be alive? Why should I say “GTFO you prick!” when he gave a green light for Clippers players in offense by freeing the paint for all that they wanted? Why should I do so if he is terrible enough to avoid some logic and still live in his own fantasy world? If coach can’t realize that Scola wasn’t playing center even in Europe, cause he wasn’t able to defend the paint even against worst competition (and why should he start to do so against to All-Star bigs or that monster in Griff with Chris Paul feeding him well?), why should we destroy our nerves there? I knew, you knew, we all know that he will be terrible in comparison to Rick, because from 20 to 25 coaches in this league are terrible on comparison to Adelman. Or were you stupid enough to believe in his words about “getting to the playoffs is on me” or “we will fight, hustle and play defense”? I don’t think so, cause if you were so, Clutchfans wouldn’t be where this forum is now. We should just let McHale be himself. It’s not a Yao-McGrady team anymore, it’s not a playoff team, so we didn’t hurt much because of what he is doing over there. If our FO really wanted to lose in a first round again, oh, sorry, to be in a playoffs, and they hired him – that is their mistake, not McHale’s. Joe Dumars have destroyed Pistons franchise by hiring two stupid coaches in a row in Curry and Kuester. Their inability to be a successful NBA Head Coaches wasn’t their fault, it was on GM cause he didn’t see it. The same thing is here. If Morey wanted to be in playoff mix with McHale – he failed. If he wanted to tank, to give a chance for our post players to rise – he made a right choice. Don’t forget the fact that he wasn’t able to step in a press-conference room and say: “We are going to suck this year! Be Ready!”, because Les would fire him in a heartbeat. It would cost some money, maybe huge money. You won’t go to TC if team is playing terribly and won 15 of 50 games, for example. He wasn’t able to say the truth. McHale is undeniably the worst Rockets Head Coach ever and if you want to argue with that just go on wiki page, or on basketball reference and watch all those names: Finch, Rudy, JVG, Rick. Kevin is a nobody in comparison to them. And we have to accept it. Don’t even try to shoot a pianist. He is playing the best he can. The only thing that is really making me sick is the effort of Lowry and Scola and their eyes. They are trying to compete but they are smart enough to realize that their team sucks. They don't deserve to play all-heart and lose like that
