OK, I went to a couple of Astro's games in the last couple of weeks, and I was astoundingly flabbergasted at how gawd-awful the food was.

The hot dogs were the crappiest things I've ever consumed, and I've frequented enough gas station gastrointestinal monstrosities to know a crappy hot dog when I see it.

The question is, what can we do about it? Houston is nationally renowned for having some of the best food around, and yet, we have people coming in to our stadiums and getting a pile of feces on a plate for $4-10 bucks!

This is abominable! There is NOOOO reason why we can't have good food at our arenas, especially if we have to pay through the nose on costs.

I, for one, understand that I'm going to have to spend innappropriate amounts of money on food when I go to a ball game. But it should AT LEAST be good food.

Aramark needs to be taken down. Who's with me?

    Ah, I love it.

A food thread disguised as a sports thread. :D

As for the food at the Juice Box, I have no problems.

I like the hot dogs at MMP (not for the price, of course but I can't really complain about taste).

Ha I'm currently trying to get an internship with them for next summer. I want to get into the stadium/arena area. I would apply for the astros but they dont even pay.

I don't know to much about the company but I know they did the All Star game, superbowl, and the olympics.

As for the food at MMP. I always like the monster Fajitas they serve on the 2nd deck. I think there like 7 bucks but they fill me up.

Think that's bad, don't go to a Rocket's game. They need to bring back the concourse :(

I truly expect more from this website's brethren.

We need an upheaval of the stadium's current foodstuffs.

Are y'all saying you're pleased with the food?

    Pleased?!? Please!!!

    Screw Aramark.

I always eat a big meal before I go to any pro or college sports event, simply because I have never been to any arena that had good tasty decent food for sale at a price I could "stomach". The only time I have ever had good food at an arena is when I was sitting in a luxury box.

For the Astros, I like to go to Ninfa's on Navigation, eat a big TexMex meal and drain a couple of margaritas, and then leave my car there and use their shuttle service to MMP.

For the Rockets, you have a choice of at least 12+ really good restaurants within walking distance from Toyota Center, so it isn't a problem.

Never been to a Texans home game, although I might go to one this year (already going to a road Texans game in December). I would either tailgate for the Texans or go have a big breakfast or lunch somewhere. Since I live only 10 minutes from Reliant there are a number of places in my neighborhood I could go.

    JCI -- the Houston Astros

    PUT YOUR HANDS TOGETHER!!! :)

I hate Aramark. I usually do what RMTex does...eat before the game elsewhere. Whether it's a good place to sit down, or I just drive-thru somewhere. I can't justify spending the money they ask you to spend on those crap-cakes they serve at games.

That's what I LOVED about the old Summit. I could go to Pappa's Seafood House there...get a crawfish basket and a coke for $10. At least I felt like I was getting value, because the food was great.

That should of been part of the deal with the original vote.

There is on exception...when I end up with tickets in the club section, i'm MUCH more likely to eat at the game. i'm rarely at a game without at least one of my kids...and the option of going straight to my seat to have my order taken there by a server is really nice. Standing in line for overpriced food with my kids while I'm missing the game...not so nice
