The Astros have won the World Series, defeating the A's in 5 games. Congratulations to me ;).

    Awards:

AL Cy Young - Mike Mussina, evilYankees
AL MVP - Jeff Bagwell, evilyankees
AL ROY - John Hart, A's

NL Cy Young - Roy Oswalt, Astros
NL MVP - Lance Berkman, Astros
NL ROY - Seung Song, Astros

Anyway, we'll have free agency sometime Saturday afternoon. If you can't make it, email me the offers like last year. If enough people can't make any suggested time, we'll reconsider. Let me know when YOU can best be here.

Until then, look for me in chat, or post in the resigning thread. In the resigning thread, indicated a maximum and minimum total contract, and I'll try to negotiate somewhere in there. This is not meant to be a general tool, but I'm not sure how much I'll be around since I'm writing a paper.

The current link is: http://users2.ev1.net/~morningstarmanor/simleague/ccnet2/league.htm due to server problems at the usual site.

I will not be able to make it until later in the afternoon. If you have a more specific time that you are going to start that will let me arrange my schedule.

We do need to set a more specific time, that would work well for everyone. It's obviously best not to do it in the morning, and I know some of you work in the early afternoons, so how about 5 tomorrow evening? If you have any conflict with this time post here...

5 works for me. Just to make clear, we're talking about Houston (central) time?

I'll probably be in chat most of tomorrow, just "away," hopefully writing thisA(@#*&%$*(@#&$ paper on Sino-American relations prior to the Korean war, but realistically watching college football.

I'm open to doing free agency at any particular time... but I do think the afternoon would be best. 5pm is acceptable, but so would a slightly earlier time. 3 or 4ish, central?

Let me know how that works.

Incidentally, I'll be initiating the new season at 8pm central tonight.

Any re-signings must be completed before then. After I initiate the new season, updated player profiles and finances shall appear on the site.
