Kidrock - I can no longer keep secret my desire to obtain Keith Reed. Pray tell, at which positions do you feel you have a deficiency that a trade may help you to overcome? I'd be happy to formulate an offer once you provide me with that knowledge. I thank you. Zac (Sao Paolo[sic])
I have some young, studly hitters available. I want young, stud pitchers. I believe the oldest of my fellows is 26. I have some other "nice" players that I can include, but these are the best of whom I'm looking to trade. Mr. Unfulfilled Potential aka Matt Wheatland is available at the right price from the Oakland Athletics. Don't be fooled by the stats - he has goods in hits and strikeouts, he has just not played up to his potential yet plus he is only 29. Also, Miguel Tejada, Juan Encarcnacion, and Paul Konerko are possibly available but I would need positon players back to take their place. However, Wheatland is really the main player on the block.
The La Wakefields have Pedro Martinez, Joe Mays, any anyone except Casey, Vern, Ernie and Ona available.
MAn I had to hunt to find this freakin thread... Well I have promised several people I would look at my team and see who is available. After dragging my feet on it this is a list of players I would be willing to part with. I want prospect starters or OF or maybe a SS in return: Jared Abruzzo C Ollie Winton RF Kevin Villenueve P Johnny Shaw P Pete Miller P(maybe) Al Winn P (maybe) I will also be willing to trade either Bret Thurston or Larry KNauer but not both. Also I could possibly deal Ced Harrison or Jimmie Fulkerson but it would have to be a really good deal. CK
Un****ingbelievable. Ben Ford recorded all 3 losses in my series with Richmond. Great time to have an injury Gene Amar!!! Ok, I need a backup 5th starter. Anybody interested in my guys?
I got several of interest for you: 1) Damian Moss - 34 - currently in AAA, last year of contract - Average in Hits and Homers, Good in Walks, and Average in Ks 2) Matt Wheatland - 30 - will be pitching out of the bullpen. Yea, he hasn't done **** for me but he still has Good in Hits and Ks plus Averages in Walks and Homers. Also, in one of the fake sim seasons, he got a ratings increase by the end of the season (in the other fake sim, he got traded to the Yankees). He is pricey, but I would be willing to include 2.5 million. I could trade both of them along with the 2.5 million in cash. I'm interested in Garciaparra, Pope, and Al Ellis. Ellis HAS to be included on your end. You could move Ford to the bullpen to take his spot.
I would be interested in Wheatland, but I'm not giving up my best middle reliever for a 7 million dollar man with a career ERA of 5.30 Some of my closers are available, i have a plethora of them.
Well, considering that my current closer is an all-star and was just signed to a contract extension, I don't need another closer who is major league ready or close to it because I'm sure that they will whine about wanting to close. I really need a solid set-up guy or mop-up/MR guy. However, I do like Art Sells. Would you want to do a Wheatland, Moss (optional), and 2.5 million for Garciaparra, Pope, and Sells?
Nomar - Adam Eaton could be your man... He's relatively cheap, talented, wants a chance to start, you know the drill. Let me know if you want him.
Anyone want to help their playoff chances? Andru Jones is available he bats .342 with 26 HR and 64 rbi's so far and he can be a rental player for you, hes in the last year of his contract
