The eyes of Texas will be upon Houston this weekend as the No. 1 ranked Rice Owls (52-12) set to battle No. 6 Texas A & M (48-17) at Reckling Park for a birth in the College World Series. These two Texas baseball teams have been doing battle since 1914 with A & M leading the all-time series at 173-86-2 and also a 2-0 record to sport this year against Rice. But don't let those two losses against A & M fool you, Rice is looking to strut their stuff in Houston this weekend as coach Wayne Graham and company look to clinch their sixth overall CWS birth and fourth in the last six years. Rice has been the standard for college baseball in recent years boasting arguably the best program and producing seven first-round picks since their first CWS trip in '97. A & M makes their trip to Houston this weekend after having to fight and claw their way to this Super Regional. The Aggies lost against Louisiana-Lafayette 5-4 in the second game of their NCAA Regional and had to win three games in the losers bracket as they won an emotional revenge game against Louisiana-Lafayette 5-2 in the championship game.
