Well the Fall Classic is upon us now! Nothing like the baseball postseason, this should be exciting! Here's my prediction for the playoffs

NL

Braves over Astros 3-1

The Braves give the Astros big time trouble, and even though this isn't the Braves of old, this team has been on fire as of late. The pitching is still among the elite, and the hitting produces. Even though the Astros have won the division title they have struggled and they are banged up

Saint Louis over Arizona 3-1

Arizona could win this series, and this series could go to 5, but I think Saint Louis has to much offense, and their pitching as been top notch. They are the hottest team in baseball outside of Oakland and Seattle, and they seem to be on a mission. This is my pick so far to represent the NL in the World Series

AL

Seattle over Cleveland 3-2

I came close to picking Cleveland in this, and they are more then capable of winning this series. Seattle is having a magical season, but I don't think they will win the title. This could be an upset

New York over Oakland 3-2

Oakland is the hottest team, and even though they can win this series, I think the Yankees experience, veteran pitching and offense, and resolve and championship experience gets them through.

NLCS Saint Louis over Atlanta in 6
ALCS New York over Seattle in 7

World Series New York over Saint Louis in 6

Those are my prediction, what do you guys say? :)

the braves do not have javy lopez, and maddux's era is over 5 on the road. there is no way they beat the stros this year.
astros 3 braves 1

given the way ive seen the astros light up daryl kyle and matt morris recently, i just cant see them out pitching johnson and schilling in a 5 game series
diamondbacks 3 st louis 2

oakland over new york
seattle over cleveland

oakland over seattle
houston over arizona

oakland over houston World Series

if its braves yankees, im going to start crying, im sick of the repetition.

im also amazed that you can give st louis so much props and declare them the NLs best team at 7pm just hours after houston crushed them 9-2 to take 2-3 from them in the series.

the astros did their usual choking this year, before the playoffs, now they are ready to go. just because things happen 4 times, that doesnt mean they will happen the 5th time.

this is a different team, and they have alot of injuries, but our bullpen is the best in the league, our lineup is the best in the league, if we get decent starting pitching, this is our year.

there is no way you can tell me, that if the astros play like they played today, they wont go to the world series. if they play like they are capable they are the best in the NL. no doubt.

NL

Astros over Braves 3 to 2

'Stros will take one of two at home, then one of two on the road, coming back to clinch it on a Wade Miller start in the fifth game.

St. Louis over Arizona 3 to 2

St. Louis has been hot, but just lost 2 of 3 to Houston. Arizona has great pitching, but the hitting is spotty. In the end, Cards good pitching will beat Dbacks GREAT pitching, and it'll be a tough series.

AL

Seattle over Cleveland 3 to 0

Seattle will roll Cleveland. The tribe just can't hang with the Mariners.

New York over Oakland 3 to 2

This is the toughest call here. New York will be riding an emotional high, the whole city will be behind them, and they'll pull it out. Oakland's been great, but won't be able to stop a determined Yankees team.

NLCS

Houston over St. Louis 4 to 2

Houston will be so elated after winning its first playoff series that it will not let St. Louis' superior pitching dominate. The season-ending series was a strong confidence builder for Houston, and it'll show in this victory.

ALCS

Seattle over New York 4 to 3

New York will battle, but it just won't be quite enough for them to beat the best team in baseball. Seattle will eventually outhit and outpitch the Yanks, but it'll be close.

World Series

Houston over Seattle 4 to 2

The Astros will win it all this year. I said it before the season started, and I'm even more resolved now -- Houston WILL win. Oswalt will be back in form, and with Miller, Oswalt, Reynolds, Mlicki, the Bullpen, and the Houston bats, we will prevail.

In the NL:
Houston over Atlanta 3-1
Its about time the 'stros break the tradition of losing to the braves

St. Louis over Arizona 3-2
despite not having kyle for a few games after using him in todays loss to the 'stros I think St. Louis can win over arizona.

NLCS:
Houston over St. Louis 4-2(maybe 3)
St. Louis is good as we have seen in the last few days. On friday it was a come from behind victory that the 'stros got. I think/hope the 'stros can win this series especially because Oswalt should be back by then.

In the AL:
Yankees over Oakland 3-2
Okland has come on strong as of late but come on its the Yankees.

Seattle over Cleveland 3-0(maybe 1)
Seattle has done some series @ss kicking this year. Enough said

ALCS:
Yankees over Seattle 4-3
I just dont think Seattle has the playoff experiance the Yankees do but this will be a close one.

World Series:
Houston over New York 4-2
Astros will win it all and bring Houston its first World Series win ever.

It was one game. I'm not an Astros fans so I have somewhat of an uninhibited view. This is the same Astros team that just came off a horrible losing streak. Granted they took 2 of 3 from Saint Louis, but a few weeks ago Oakland actually swept Seattle, but Seattle is still considered the better team by many. I'm not calling Houston a horrible team, they're not. I'm also not saying they can't win a series, they are capable of going far, but I think that Atlanta, even now, matches up well with them. And outside of taking a 2 out of 3 from the Cards Houston isn't playing their best ball consistently yet.

Astros-Braves 3-1 astros, braves have pride to get one game
Cards-D Backs Cards 3-2, morris has to win

NLCS
Astros-Cards Astros in 6, we have st.louis's number and the better offense and equal pitching

AL
Mariners-Indians Seattle 3-1, seattle has the better pitching
Oakland-NY A's 3-1, they stretched the yanks to 5 games without damon, dye and a healthy, dominant mark mulder last yr, they will roll this time around

ALCS
Oakland over Seattle in 7, A's have been great the 2nd half and i feel they have the better pitching for a short series

WS
Houston over Oakland 4-3, this will be an awesome series and it could go either way but i think the veterans on the Astros will show how bad they want the ring and get the job done
