Does it seem like the league is shifting somewhat? Take a look at the team ERAs. Only one team is under 4.00, Houston with 3.90. Thats crazy.
I couldn't agree with you more. It may be from a shift in the hitting talent but regardless, the league has phased out quality ratings. Pitchers that were once dominant are average, and most average pitchers carry near double digits in era.
Maybe, at the rate things have progressed so far in the real MLB, this is what the future is like! I remember when Cecil Fielder hit 50 Homeruns... Holy ****! Is that possible? 50! Then, starting post-strike, people are hitting 40-50 like it aint no thang. My lord! So, maybe the next step is ERAs rising. A pitcher with a 4 ERA is the most valuable player on the team. ... spooky.
